The Fischer B&B

We've been busy hosting guests these past two weeks and we're not done yet!  :)

The Lubbers and the Eukens came for a long weekend to go to the Big 12 Tournament and just hang out!  We had a fantastic time with them! And one would think that I would have taken A LOT more pictures, but sadly, I only have a few!  And sadly, I have NO pictures of Mollie and Lillia.  :(

Sunday my mom and sister came to stay since they were on Spring Break.  They stayed through Wednesday evening.  We went shopping, ate out, and took Lillia to Cabela's to see all the animals and feed the fish.  It's one of her favorite things to do!  It was nice to have company as Brandon ended up having to be out of town on a work trip Sunday through Wednesday.

I think we took about 50 shots of this pose, and this is about the best one!

Matt and Katie Joens joined us last night on their journey from Ankeny to Texas.  We enjoyed watching the Cyclones win!

And now in just a few hours, we're expecting the Antelmans and VandenWynbooms!  We're looking forward to a fun weekend with them....Shamrock Shakes anyone?!

Two

Two.

I have TWO kids!

A TWO year old.

And a TWO MONTH OLD!

Lawson Conry is two months old today!  

And what a joy he is!  We just love him!  And what's not to love?  Look at his chubbiness!  :)

 Do his joules resemble the puppy on his outfit?!  :)  He got this little number as a 

gift from his uncle Brett for Christmas....it's quite fitting, don't you think?!

 And here he is today!  Our two month old boy!

And so she's not left out....here's our two year old on Valentines Day at gramma and grampa's house!

The other day after meeting someone for the first time, I told them I had two kids.  It was one of those moments that stuck me.  Wow. I have TWO kids!  And I wouldn't trade it for anything.  We're loving every moment, even the sleep deprived ones!  What a blessing they are, my two little ones!

The last five weeks...mostly in pictures

These last five weeks have gone by fairly quickly, but I have really tried to savor every moment and not let the little things pass me by.  I have loved snuggling my little boy and just enjoyed having a newborn in the house.  Sure I don't get as much sleep as I did just a month or two ago, but I know these sweet moments will be gone too soon, so I try not to dwell on being tired.

Lawson is such a good baby!  Lillia loves him dearly and often asks to hold him and kiss him.  She loves it when his eyes are open and always asks "Where'd his eyes go?" when he closes them!  She sits beside me to read books when Lawson is nursing, so we've memorized quite a few books in the past few weeks!  :)

Lawson Conry

Brandon and I rang in the New Year with quite the party!  

Somehow we even missed watching the ball drop!  

And our celebration came about two hours after the ball dropped with the birth of Lawson Conry.

7lbs 2oz and 19 1/4 inches 

We are in LOVE!

*And a little tidbit about his name.....

We liked Lawson before we found out Lillia was a girl.  It's a name I heard when I was student teaching.  A little boy in my class had a brand new baby brother, Lawson.  So I tucked that name away in my head and forgot all about it until one day when Brandon was watching ESPN and there was a basketball player whose last name was Lawson.  Then it clicked....that was the name I really liked, but couldn't remember no matter how hard I tried!

So, when we found out this time we were having a boy....we almost didn't even need to discuss names!  We both still loved the name Lawson...now the question was what to put as a middle name.

Conrey is a family name on the Fischer side.  Brandon really liked it as a middle name, but wanted to put our own little twist on it, so we changed the spelling to Conry.

And there you have it....Lawson Conry.
