A few months ago I realized that the bedroom arrangements just weren't working and we needed a change! So, Lillia and Leyton switched rooms and both of the boys got a room makeover!
The switch has been perfect, and I'm so glad we decided to go through the work to do it!
Leyton's room has a black/white/gray theme going on... (which may be hard to tell from this pic)
And here is Lawson's new digs.... (complete with his new headboard!)
And Lillia's room has all the same stuff as before, just in a different room. So, I didn't take a picture!

Projects
"Why hasn't there been a new blog post for 2 months?" you ask? Well there's this reason:
But mostly, the time I typically would have spent blogging I have been working on house projects! I was on a roll. Unstoppable. Just ask Brandon! :)
Next I actually have some pics of the project in process......I made a headboard for Lawson's bed with plywood, some foam, brown fabric, and burlap! I am very happy with the results! I will have to post a picture of it on the wall above Lawson's bed.
I worked on a few other projects that I don't have pictures of, including the landscaping! Brandon and I have been slowly working on the landscaping. And so far, it's turning out pretty good! This is the third house that we have completely overhauled the landscaping and we learn A LOT every time we do it! :) I will have to post a few pictures of our work-in-progress!
Well, there you have it, a glimpse into my world of projects!
But mostly, the time I typically would have spent blogging I have been working on house projects! I was on a roll. Unstoppable. Just ask Brandon! :)
Made a menu board. Loving it! Helps me meal plan and fills an empty space on the wall! :)
I painted a piece of wood with chalkboard paint and used letter stickers for the days of the week.
A little decor to remind my family about having a joyful song in our hearts for
all the things the Lord has done in our lives! I mod podged sheet music onto the glass
of an old window. Then made music notes out of red fabric and hung a small
chalkboard from the window latch.
Turned a picture I took into a little wall art. I mod podged the print onto a piece of wood.
Thank you Katie Euken and Pinterest for this idea! Just in time for company!
I took down a towel rod and hung individual hooks and picture frames with
burlap behind the glass in it's place
Here I took three matching frames I had in the basement, painted them all black, took out the glass, painted
the cardboard background black, used a hot glue gun to attach the little clothespins and voila! A
perfect way to put up a couple pics of the kids. And SUPER easy to switch them out as the
kiddos grow!
FINALLY painted the barstools black! Sure does take a long time to prime, paint, do another coat, and
finally apply a topcoat to protect them from daily wear and tear!

And here is an UNFINISHED project. This empty window is at the bottom of the stairs, near the kitchen. I am wanting to turn it into the "chore chart" or daily duties, etc. But I'm not exactly sure what to do. Do I find a way to put a background in that would use magnets? Do I use velcro? How about the little clothespins? Any good ideas from you out there?

Random Thoughts
A few thoughts in my head today....
-How many times will I get spit up on before I change my shirt? (The count was 4+) I'm sure you wouldn't have wanted to hug me today....and I made sure I just didn't turn over my right shoulder, otherwise I would have caught a wif of my new "perfume"
-Do any other moms out there start to despise the "S" word? SNACK. Five minutes after finishing breakfast and the kids are asking when or what they can have for snack. As soon as they get up from naps....can they have a snack? Seriously...I get tired of hearing that word!
-The post-baby hair loss has begun. I think I'm going to be bald before summer!
-I have a hard time putting my baby down when he is awake! I just LOVE making him smile and coo! He's so happy! Which means I also don't get my housework done when he is awake....but I'm ok with that as long as visitors can look past dishes that need to be loaded into the dishwasher or mountains of laundry that need to be folded!
-Long nails are a nice tool for reaching a crusty inside a tiny nostril that the kleenex or sucker just can't get!
-Finding a GOOD children's Bible is hard to do. I don't mind the Jesus Storybook Bible, but all the story add-ins just aren't my favorite. Anyone have a recommendation for a children's bible? I have done some looking and haven't been impressed with anything that I've seen so far.
-Going shopping towards the end of the month is quite a game....I have to get creative with meal planning and get the groceries I want/need without going over budget!
-I like decorating, but get stuck in "matchy" mode....I want to learn how to put different colors and patterns together and have it all fit and flow
-Are fake plants a thumbs up or thumbs down when it comes to decorating the home?
And so this isn't a totally boring post...here's a couple pics of the kids on Easter....

Life With Three
Leyton has been with us for 9 weeks now! And everyone has transitioned pretty well to having a baby as a part of the family. Getting things done takes a little longer now as there are more feedings, more diaper changes, more things to get together before leaving the house, more laundry, more people to get buckled into carseats, etc. But that also means there are more snuggles, more hugs, more kisses, more cute baby clothes, more cute baby smiles, and more love to go around!
Leyton is a pretty happy baby who looks a lot like his brother! He's got some red hair and I'm wondering if it will stay that way as he gets older. He is a good eater and learning to be a better sleeper! He gives us lots of smiles and is doing a lot of cooing these days. His older siblings love him to pieces and are forever asking to see him and kiss him. He is one loved little boy!
Lawson is a funny little guy! He knows how to make people laugh and likes to do so! He likes pushing a stool over to where I'm cooking and asks to help. He loves tools and often asks Brandon if he can help fix something. He just got a new tool bench with lots of tools and actually took his new hammer to sleep with him tonight! He loves books and loves to eat! He amazes us with new phrases everyday....like when he exclaimed "Have Mercy" when he spilled some salt while "helping" me make supper!
Lillia is a sweet little 4 year old. Her new favorite thing to do is play PBS Kids on the computer. And her new favorite movie? You guessed it...Frozen! (thanks Gramma!) She is signed up to go to preschool in the fall and is excited about that. She loves to help with Leyton and is a perfect stand-in to "read" books to Lawson when I just can't right then. And she is most definitely daddy's little princess!
My mom came to town for her spring break and we got to take the kids bowling for the first time! They loved it and were so fun to watch! Take a look for yourself.....
Overall, life is really good with three kids! However, and people told me this was true, the third baby is a game changer! No more man to man defense, we're on zone and that can be hard at times! But we wouldn't trade it. Our home is full, but our hearts are fuller!

| This is where Lawson likes to sit and eat his snack! And this day we stayed in our jammies all day! |
| This picture is from Valentine's Day. But it captures her personality so well! :) |

Leyton Tyler Fischer
A sweet baby boy was born into our lives on January 22 at 11:09pm! We were surprised at how quickly he came...as I was in labor less than 3 hours! The midwife didn't even have time to get her gloves...her first bare-handed catch! And as she said, he came down the slide too fast as he had some bruising on his face. But that's all cleared up now and today (yesterday, since I posted this a day late) we celebrated his 1-week birthday! :)
A little about his name....we had debated a lot about continuing with the "L" theme. We didn't plan on having all our children's names start with the same letter, it just so happened that way. So, after much discussion, we decided that if there was a name that we really liked that started with an L then we would stick with it. Well, it just so happened that I really like the name Leyton. I thought
it was fairly unique and just simply loved the sound of it. In my
pregnancy with Lawson, we joked that we really wanted him to come
"late-in" December, as he was due January 3. So, we (or more-so I)
would call him LateIn. Well, that name started to grow on me....and by
the time Lawson was born, I tucked the name away for safe keeping should
we have another boy. Fast forward two years, and here we are, with
another boy and a name that we wanted to start with L. Bingo. Leyton
was perfect! Although we talked about A LOT of other names that didn't
start with L, I just kept coming back to Leyton. So, it was settled.
Leyton it was. And since I picked the first name, Brandon got to pick
the second name. (I have picked all the first names of our kids, and he
has picked all the middle names!) He's always liked the name Tyler and
it went well with Leyton. So there you have it. And since we wanted
it to be enough different from Lawson, we decided to spell it with an
"E" rather than an "A".
Both big kids love him dearly and are always asking where he is, to hold him, or kiss him. And if he makes any noise they are quick to tell me that he needs to eat!

He is a perfect addition to our family! Our hearts couldn't be more filled with joy!
